Testimonials

What stood out to me the most was the incredible depth of not only the curriculum but of the teachers themselves. The eclectic background and experience of the instructors was unmatched to what I have seen in some other teacher trainings. I know this is 200 hour training, but I would have liked to spend even more time with the teachers as they all brought such wisdom. It secures my interest in continuing with my education at YTTI. This training has helped me to understand that performing Asanas in perfect alignment on the mat will manifest perfect alignment in my path in life. My ears have truly heard truthful words and sounds as I listened to the philosophy portion of this training. I am learning to live with every cell of my body, mind and Spirit. These are just some of the things that I have learned from this training. Yvette 2011

The 200 hour program is an incredibly profound experience for the body, mind and spirit. I believe I am still processing all of the changes on all levels. I have grown in ways that I did not expect, my heart growing and opening further than it has ever been. I have come to understand myself in a different more dynamic way. It is from this place I know that true growth occurs.

I have found the quality, commitment and experience of the instructors to be in the highest order. It has been an asset to train with teachers of diverse training background and a common YTTI thread. I respect the adaptability of the methods and styles as applied to a diverse student population. I believe this training has laid a firm ground for continued studies and insightful instruction. The content of the curriculum has served as an excellent corner stone. Woza 2011

Learning about the Yoga Sutras and The 8 Limbs and being a part of all of the discussions and sharing with my classmates, allowed me to really look at myself and re-examine where I am in my life in conjunction with the 8 Limbs of Yoga. Not only did I re-examine my life, but once I built self-confidence and realized that I was worthy of this amazing learning experience, without even realizing it, I started to change. Grace 2011

The course is well planned, balanced and taught with dedicated teachers. Salomon 2011

I loved taking this yoga teacher training. I feel like it's been cleansing and life changing.  Practicing yoga every day is so much more than asanas. It's a way of life. The asana instructors were exceptional and inspirational. The philosophy and meditation sessions taught by Mokshapriya have given me the tools to live my life well and to be a shining spirit in this world.

I truly enjoy the YTTI 200hr program. The size, diversity, and range of physical, mental and spiritual dynamics of our group have provided an extraordinary learning experience. All of the teachers are knowledgeable, approachable, loving, kind and gifted in their ability to offer students guidance in our journeys. Having some current and former 500hr students around further enhances our experience, by providing an even greater range of perspectives from which we learn. Dylan 2011

Coming into the training, I had hoped that my asanas would get stronger, and would gain insights into ways to improve my teaching. This too has happened, and as in other areas, it is more than I had expected. The most unexpected change was the change in my relationships both with family and at work. I am much more accepting of others, and feel less need to assert that things happen my way. I also am more accepting of myself. I entered the training because I knew there was so much more to yoga than I was aware of. But I had not expected that my attitude towards yoga would alter so deeply. I have come to realize that yoga truly is a way of life, and a way I want to live my life. While I feel I have only begun my yoga journey, this training was a first step on that path. And for that, I am deeply grateful for the chance to participate, and for the teaching you have provided.

As for the program, I most enjoyed the overall layout of the curriculum. Having a balance of asanas, philosophy, anatomy, and additional teachings kept a momentum that made the learning process exciting. Working at the Ashram makes the whole exprience very special. Also, allowing the 500 hours to be a part of our weekend sessions enriched each class. My personal favorite moments were in philosophy class and when we would spend time to break down a pose.
